(Mar. 15, 2017) -- Matthew Thomey scored the winner five minutes into the second as the Harbour Grace Ocean Enterprises CeeBee Stars defeated the Tapper's Northeast Eagles 3-1 in Game 5 of the team's Avalon East Senior Hockey League final Wednesday. The CeeBees lead the best-of-seven series 3-2 with Game 6 at the Jack Byrne Arena Friday night at 8 o'clock. Sam Roberts and Andrew Fenwick, into an empty net, also scored for the CeeBees. Andrew White opened the scoring with a first-period power play tally for the Eagles. A.J. Whiffen got the win in net, and Mark Yetman took the loss.
