League completes final entry draft

On Wednesday January 17 the East Coast Senior Hockey League completed its third and final draft for this season, 9 players were eligible for selection. Selecting first overall was the Conception Bay Blues who selected Owen Guibert, a 6'6 defenseman from St. Pierre who has most recently been playing hockey in France. Following that the Northeast Eagles selected Corey Drake, a forward who has spent parts of the last few seasons with the Conception Bay Blues. The third selection was Lyndon Goobie who will join his brother Lucas with the Pugliesvich Southern Shore Breakers and the final selection in the first round was Defenseman Anthony Nippard by the St. John’s Caps. In the end 7 players were selected in the draft as all 4 teams round out their final rosters. All players can be seen on the ice this Friday night when all 4 teams square off with the Eagles traveling to Conception Bay and the Breakers in St. John's.
