League Standings still up for grabs

news2018-02-15
There may only be 2 games remaining in the ECSHL regular season schedule, but the standings are far from decided. Heading into the final weekend of the regular season the only position not up for grabs is first place. The St. John’s Caps (32 points) have secured first with a 14 point lead on the second place Southern Shore Breakers (18 points) who are followed by the Northeast Eagles (16 points) and Conception Bay Blues (15 points). This weekend’s schedule will see all 4 teams in action as the Blues host the Caps Friday night in CBS (8PM) and the Breakers host the Eagles Sunday night in Mobile (8PM). A Blues win Friday night would move them 1 point ahead of the Eagles, and temporarily into 3rd place pending the outcome of Sunday’s Eagles, Breakers game. An Eagles win or regulation loss (1 point) Sunday would see them move back into 3rd while the regulation win would move them past both the Blues and the Breakers and leave them in 2nd place. With playoffs right around the corner this should prove to be an exciting weekend of hockey! 1 - CAPS: 32 Points ** 2 - BREAKERS: 18 Points 3 - EAGLES: 16 Points ** 4 - BLUES: 15 Points ** Caps and Eagles interlocking points are currently not reflected in league standings on website.
