Avalon East Senior Hockey League

The Avalon East Senior Hockey League (AESHL) is an amateur Senior "A" ice hockey league operating on the east coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Founded in 1967, it stands as the oldest continuous senior hockey league in the province. Teams compete annually for the Joe Maynard Trophy, with the league champion advancing to play for the historic Herder Memorial Trophy
