The Rooftech St John's Caps were named the 2024 Herder Memorial Champions this past weekend as they swept the Deer Lake Red Wings 4-0 in the series, Caps won game 4 by a score of 5-0 where veteran goaltender Kyle Downer collected the shut out, While Rookie Forward Joel Bishop received the Cliff Gorman Memorial Award (MVP) collecting 10pts in 4 games for the Caps.
