The 2026 Herder Memorial Championship is set, and this year’s prestigious trophy will be contested between the AESHL Champion Conception Bay South Baker Flooring Blues and the CWSHL Champion Deer Lake Red Wings.

 

The Blues are coming off a record-setting season in the AESHL, finishing with an impressive 17-2-1 record. The Red Wings wrapped up their CWSHL campaign with a strong 13-3-2 record.

 

Kris Hodge led the Blues with a career-high 43 points in 20 regular season games, adding another 9 points in 8 playoff games.

 

Brandon Hynes paced the Red Wings with 38 points in 14 regular season games, while adding an impressive 19 points in 10 playoff games.

 

Between the pipes, Matt Jenkins earned AESHL Playoff MVP honours, posting a perfect 7-0 record along with a .942 save percentage and a 2.14 GAA.

Keith Kinkaid captured CWSHL Playoff MVP honours, going 7-2 with a .934 save percentage and a 2.24 GAA.

Games get underway this weekend at CBS Arena on March 27 and 28 before the series shifts to the West Coast for April 3, 4, and 5. If necessary, the series will return to CBS for Games on April 10 and 11.
